Udaipur Yaatra: An Unforgettable Journey

Visit to Udaipur is an amazing journey. Places like Lake Palace etc. are really great that are worth visiting. Maharana Pratap Memorial is also great place that you must visit.

We had a trip to Udaipur back in December 2008. Delhi to Udaipur is around 678 Km and it takes around 12 hours to reach Udaipur from Delhi by Bus while a train travel takes around 12 hours. The weather was cold but it was feeling great in the morning.

The major hotels in Udaipur are Udaivilas and Trident. We stayed at Trident and it was a memorable stay. The hotel provided good facilities and comfort at affordable prices. Udaivilas is also a famous hotel with a historical look and architecture.

Next day we visited City Palace, on the east bank of Lake Pichola. This palace is known for its terraces, garden corridors and balconies. A garden Saheliyon-ki-bari is also worth visiting and there are magical fountains which start working whenever you clap. This garden is worth visiting if you are travelling to Udaipur.

You can also enjoy puppet show which is a traditional art of Rajashatan. In an all journey to Udaipur was great and memorable. I am very fond of travelling and travelling new places, but Udaipur is different then all. It was a part of my India Yaatra and it was great.
